Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
The ECU commanded the purge valve open but the expected change in fuel trims or tank pressure did not occur — a flow problem rather than a leak.

- 1 Stuck-open or stuck-closed purge valve
- 2 Blocked vapour line
- 3 Failed purge solenoid
- 4 Disconnected or cracked hose at the intake
Cómo diagnosticarlo
Primero lo más barato y menos invasivo: la mayoría de estos códigos no son un problema de piezas.
- ✓ Command the purge valve and watch fuel trims and tank pressure respond.
- ✓ Check the hose from the valve to the intake manifold for cracks.
- ✓ Blow through the valve: it should be sealed when de-energised.
- ✓ Smoke-test the whole vapour path if flow is still unexplained.
