Engine Overheat Condition
Coolant temperature exceeded the protective threshold. The ECU often cuts fuel or disables cylinders to protect the engine — take this seriously.

- Loss of power
- Coolant loss with no visible leak
Causas habituales

- 1 Low coolant
- 2 Failed thermostat stuck closed
- 3 Cooling fan not running
- 4 Water pump failure
- 5 Blocked radiator or head gasket failure
Cómo diagnosticarlo
Primero lo más barato y menos invasivo: la mayoría de estos códigos no son un problema de piezas.
- ✓ Stop the engine and let it cool before opening anything.
- ✓ Check coolant level and look for external leaks.
- ✓ Verify the fan runs when commanded by the scan tool.
- ✓ Pressure-test the cooling system and test for combustion gas in the coolant (head gasket).
