Exhaust Gas Recirculation Control Circuit Malfunction
An electrical fault in the EGR solenoid or motor circuit — no control, so the ECU cannot modulate EGR at all.

Comment le diagnostiquer
Le moins cher et le moins invasif d'abord — la plupart de ces codes ne sont pas un problème de pièces.
- ✓ Check the fuse and connector first.
- ✓ Command the EGR with a bidirectional tool and listen/watch for movement.
- ✓ Measure the solenoid resistance; an open coil confirms the fault.
- ✓ Scope the control signal (usually PWM) at the valve.

- Repair the wiring
- Replace the fuse

Is this the valve or the wiring? +
Command it with a scan tool. If it moves, the valve works and the fault is intermittent; if not, measure at the connector to split the two.
Will it damage the engine? +
Uncontrolled EGR raises combustion temperature and NOx. Not immediately destructive, but fix it promptly.
