Transmission Control System Malfunction
A generic flag telling you the transmission ECU has stored a fault. Read the TCU's own codes to find the real problem.

- Gearbox warning lamp
- Limp mode holding one gear
- Harsh or delayed shifts
- No reverse

- 1 Any transmission fault — this code is a pointer, not a diagnosis
- 2 Low or degraded fluid
- 3 Failed solenoid or speed sensor
- 4 Internal mechanical wear
Comment le diagnostiquer
Le moins cher et le moins invasif d'abord — la plupart de ces codes ne sont pas un problème de pièces.
- ✓ Read the transmission ECU fault codes directly — P0700 itself tells you nothing.
- ✓ Check fluid level and condition using the correct procedure for that gearbox.
- ✓ Read live input and output shaft speeds and the commanded gear.
- ✓ Check the gearbox wiring connector for fluid ingress.

- Fix the underlying transmission fault identified in the TCU
- Service the fluid and filter
- Replace the faulty solenoid or sensor
