Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input)
The ECU cannot determine which gear the selector is in, or sees an implausible combination. The vehicle may refuse to start or start in any position.

- ✓ Check the linkage for wear or maladjustment before replacing the switch.
- ✓ Inspect the connector for water or corrosion.
- ✓ Adjust the switch to the manufacturer's procedure and re-test.
